we hungry

KIPS BAY.

For some reason, I have been intimidated from walking in this Turkish restaurant - maybe because it has dim lighting and I like to see my food.  Finally! I walked in. Service was wonderful but, of course, this Turkish food was delicious. The waiters were very kind and were attentive to pouring water. They even asked if we wanted more bread for the eggplant appetizer. After our meal, the waiter definitely knew how to sell their desserts. He came out with a tray of at least six samples of different dessert options. Although I was looking for baklava, he didn't have to convince me on the other options! We chose havla, which is made from oil, flour, and sugar as its main ingredients. The waiter informed us that the restaurant buys the havla from a manufacturer that has been producing them for the last 120 years. Would I go back? Yes and I'll bring a group of friends.
