we hungry

First of all, where’s the spice?! They had watered down off brand Sirracha sauce. Food came out in less than two minutes. Usually, that’s great a thing, but! ‘tis was nasty. Over priced dishes! Oh wait, over priced plastic plates! I get it. They must be saving cost to not use a dishwasher but we been going green.

Lili’s dish was advertised to have jasmine rice but where the hell was the jasmine rice!? It consisted pretty much of soy sauce, pumpkin, and chicken. Ohhh she got her pumpkin all right.

Lastly, they sold packages of rice and spices but only if you liked their dishes. I said if I…happened to be in Chelsea Market and wanted VERY quick Thai food, then I’d come here. But then, Lili convinced me it would be better just to eat cupcakes for dinner than eat at this joint. J

Thinking about ordering thai ice tea? Forget ‘bout it! You can’t mess up thai ice tea. But they sure did! If you get thai tea and a regular dish, expect to spend about $12.

Say wahhhh??? I still have a hard time pronouncing it but its supposed to be SREE-pra-pai. WHATEVER! Hands down, one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to. The menu is fricken huge AAANNND the best part is that there is a picture next to every item on the menu!

Taste: Be prepared to eat really spicy food!!! (unless requested for it to mild) The dishes would not be the same without it being spicy but make sure you get some dishes that are mild because you will be shooting meteorites =X  The deep fried dishes were not oily at all. I recommend the soft shell crab with coconut rice. It’s a great combination of spice and sweetness.

Price: Average $5 to $15 a dish. Not bad considering the portions of each dish. My total came out to be $55. That’s 4 dishes with a beer and thai ice tea.

The scene: Since this place is not in the city, I would say that its not the trendiest restaurant BUT it has a "home-y" feel. Its a great place to eat with family and friends but maybe too loud for a first date.

Seating: The place seats about 100 but be prepared to wait in line for a good 20 minutes, even if its a party of 2. If you have a party of more than 4, make sure you make a reservation or be prepared to wait for more than 30 minutes.

Bottom line. the best place to eat thai food! I want to go there everyday!!! Unfortunately, its all the way in Queens and if you live in New York the public transportation to Queens is not that great but it is worth trying!
